Choose a style:
Meet a waterproof and breathable raincoat that was designed with the great British outdoors in mind. Part of our Right as Rain collection, the Coast Jacket has zip and button fastening for extra protection to keep you warm and dry, and with a flattering shape and fit you’re sure to look stylish even in the wet weather.
Packed with nautical details and functional features. Every time we see this waterproof jacket, we instantly imagine wearing it on a wet and windy coastal walk – and yet know it’ll be also great when running into town on those grey and dreary days.
Dull days don't have to mean dull clothing. Part of our Right as Rain collection, this longline coat will keep the rainy-day blues away. Complete with an adjustable waist, it's oh so flattering too.
Our mid-length Coast waterproof jacket has proved popular for the extra coverage it provides in a downpour. Cut to the same length with the flattering curved hem you love, this new-season version has been updated with a new cord detail at the hood and duffle-style wooden toggles for added charm.
While fashion trends come and go, one thing that stays is the need for a good quality waterproof raincoat. We might be biased but we think raincoats are always in style and are the ideal closet staple that can be used all year round. Pick a color that suits your personality, wear with a pair of our famous rain boots and you'll be all set. For a casual look, our rain jackets look stunning with tops from our Harbour Collection due to their beautifully lightweight cotton fabrics and stylish hand-drawn Joules prints. Wear with a pair of jeans for an extra chic and comfortable everyday outfit.
You should always ensure that you read the label stitched into your individual item of clothing before attempting to clean or wash your rain jacket. If you don't want to put it in the washing machine however and the jacket isn't too dirty, wiping it down with a damp cloth will help remove any surface dirt. Before putting it away, ensure your rain jacket is fully dry to avoid any nasty smells.
Make sure that you always check the care label on your rain jacket before putting it in the washing machine. Thankfully, the Joules website also lists care instructions for each individual item. As a rule, our rain jackets are machine washable and should be reshaped whilst damp to ensure they don't lose their shape.
We understand that it's not ideal having to find somewhere to store your raincoat while it's drying. Unfortunately, we recommend not tumble-drying raincoats and instead wiping them down with a cloth to remove excess moisture and leaving them to air dry before hanging them up for their next use.
The best advice we can give is to make sure you keep as dry as possible. If your workplace doesn't have a place you can get changed or dry off, we'd recommend investing in a rain jacket that you can wear day-after-day for when the rains do arrive. That way you can stay stylish and dry. When you get to work after a downpour, try to hang your coat up somewhere that is well ventilated and not on the back of your chair as it'll take longer to dry this way. When it comes to style, pair one of our rain jackets with a long-sleeve shirt and smart pair of pants for a fashionable work outfit that's ideal come rain or shine. For more stylish waterproof outerwear, our Right as Rain collection could be just what you've been searching for and includes everything from rain boots to umbrellas
Staying comfortable when you're out and about in the rain is key, it's grey and dull outside enough as it is. A rain jacket should fit comfortably without being too loose or too tight. There really isn't a right answer to this one: a rain jacket should fit exactly how you want it to.
