You can wear your rain boots in the snow, but there are a couple of things to think about. Firstly, compared to regular snow boots, they might not provide you with the warmth and coziness you need when snow is on the ground. Secondly, rain boots don’t offer the same grip as snow boots, so while they may be fine for light snow, maybe leave them at home if it’s a heavy snowstorm.
You bet, that is, if they are made from rubber. Joules are proud to offer fully waterproof rain boots which will keep your feet dry whether you’re walking around town in the rain or splashing around the park with the kids. Even better, some of our rain boots are backed by our One Year Welly Guarantee.
If you can’t bear to be without your beloved rain boots but they’ve seen better days, there are numerous things you can do with them. Turn them into attractive plant pots or even use them indoors as an unusual vase. Some people even use them as wedding centerpieces. Don’t bin them, reuse them!
Keeping your rain boots looking as good as new can be as simple as wiping them down with a damp cloth. However, if the time has come where they’ve become damaged, you can try repairing them at home. Unfortunately, any repair is likely to impact the boots’ durability. Speak to a trained shoe repairer to find out whether you can repair your boots or if you are best trying out a new pair.
As much as we love our collection of rain boots and the color they bring to life, we don’t recommend going for a hike in them. Both you, and your rain boots, will be much happier splashing in puddles and doing the gardening than visiting your nearest hiking trail or mountain range. Keep the hiking boots ready for those types of trips as they provide the support you need.
We don’t recommend putting your rain boots in the washer. If you’ve been out and about and your rain boots are a little dirty, simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth and make sure they are completely dry before putting them away.
We think the best way to keep your lovely rain boots looking their best is to simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth, waiting until they are dry before storing them. Putting them in the dryer risks damaging the rubber.
You certainly can clean your rain boots. All you need is a damp cloth and some warm soapy water. You can read more about how to take care of your rain boots in our helpful rain boot care guide, which has all the best tips and tricks to keep them looking as good as new.
We understand the frustration of not finding the perfect fit when it comes to your footwear but stretching your rain boots runs the risk of damaging them, meaning you would be unable to wear them at all. Thankfully, some of our ladies’ rain boots come with an adjustable strap that can widen or narrow your boots on the calf until you find the perfect fit for you.
If it was up to us, then we’d be wearing our rain boots all day long. This one is down to you, if you want to wear you rain boots for the full day, then go right ahead! Just remember that if they get wet, you should wait until they are completely dry before putting them away.
Absolutely! You can wear your rain boots whenever you want and in any type of weather, it just helps that they are waterproof so if you do get caught in the rain, your feet will stay nice and cozy, and more importantly, dry.
Rain boots are generally made from one of two materials but are essentially made from rubber. The differences between the two are that one is a synthetic rubber while the other is completely natural.
